Tank Shanghai is a non-profit contemporary art museum aiming to provide public the opportunity to experience contemporary art, nature and urban life. It was originally five abandoned aviation oil tanks locating at the West Bund area and was redesigned by OPEN Architecture in 2012. Founded by Chinese couple collectors, Mr. Liu Yiqian and his wife, Ms. Wang Wei, the Long Museum owns two huge places for exhibition and related functions: Long Museum Pudong and Long Museum West Bund. Located respectively in Pudong New Area and Binjiang, Xuhui District, they constitute a unique ecosystem of art in Shanghai: “One City, Two Museums.” As the largest private institution of collection in China, the Long Museum boasts of the richest collection nationwide.

Opened in 2011, the Shanghai Museum of Glass is listed as one of the three must-visit museums in China by a CNN-owned website. Shanghai Museum of Glass has presented impressive exhibitions over the past several years, from the glass art exhibition by domestic and international art students, the annual antique glass series exhibition, to Keep It Glassy, international creative glass design exhibition and the Annealing series exhibition that combines glass and other forms of contemporary art. The Shanghai Museum of Glass presents the public with the integration of glass art and design that closes the gaps in time, space, culture and language. Over the past 60 years, Shanghai has been through a massive transformation from its industrial age to today. The Shanghai Museum of Glass maintains the basic structure of the site’s existing factory, expressing its original details and creating a highly artistic and interactive space. To highlight the building’s previous function as a glass factory, there are several feature areas, including the Kaleidoscope Entrance, Corridor of History, House of Glass and the Jewelry Box
